About Courtney & CB Grey
CBGrey founder/designer Courtney Buchanan has been an artist her entire life. While photography was her original passion, she always dabbled in drawing and painting. She attended The School of Visual Arts in NYC for photography, giving her the basis to further her journey as an artist.After college, she worked in marketing for a start-up. During this time, she was able to develop her skills as a graphic designer and illustrator.Courtney worked as a freelance photographer and graphic designer until the launch of CB Grey.CB Grey is truly the culmination of all her years of training, both professionally and personally.Courtney has a unique eye for seeing beyond surface level, which can be seen in the symbolism and intentionality of her designs. She also has the ability to find life and joy in every hidden corner. Her positivity and love of life flow through her art in her choice of colors and whimsical elements.Her creative, fashion-forward, and inspired silk scarves and accessories have already received local and national press and recognition.

About the Collab
Taylor and Courtney met earlier this year at The Southern C Summit. They quickly realized how much they had in common and became fast friends. After the Summit, Taylor and Courtney stayed in touch and bonded over helping each other solve business problems and discussing new solutions. In a conversation one afternoon, the topic of game day came up. Taylor and Courtney were brainstorming ideas for potential partnerships and designs when Courtney said Taylor could be her inspiration for a print design. Taylor was exctatic about the opportunity and immediately said yes. Over the next few weeks Taylor compiled a mood board of color, inspirational images and a list of things that make her happy and are meaningful to her. Courtney worked her design magic and started putting elements and patterns together. Taylor and Courtney had several conversations and worked closely on each revision and talked through all the changes and ideas they wanted to see come to life. Finally, they were down to three designs with slight differences in color and pattern. Finally, they had the same thought. Courtney worked more of her magic and they agreed it was finished. Taylor and Courtney are excited to debut this print and coordinating jewelry collection. They are two maximalist boy moms who believe in bold colors, print mixing, and feeling beatiful no matter what. They are excited to share it with you and hope you’ll tag them and share how you’re styling it on social.
